E tūtaki ana ngā kapua o te rangi, kei runga, kei runga te Mangoroa e kōpae pū ana | The clouds in the sky close over, but above them spreads the milky way

This morning, PADA had the honour of attending the Mothers Matter launch at Parliament on 10 Poutū-te-rangi | March 2021.

‘Who Holds Our Mothers?’ is a short film that marks the start of a national campaign to demand Government takes action to prevent maternal suicide and to take the need for perinatal support seriously.

Speakers included Mother’s Matter Founder Chloe Wright, midwife Tish Tahia, wellness advocate Gemma McCaw, science advisor Sir Peter Gluckman, pediatrician Dr Johan Morreau, PADA Kuia Joanne Rama, and midwife Tish Taihia.

The film officially goes to air tomorrow and Mothers Matter are asking YOU to Raise the Red Flag to support this campaign and make Government listen and act.  Check the Mothers Matter website from 11 Maehe | March for the film, which will also be screening across mainstream TV during ad breaks.
