DESCRIPTION:Choose to Move and Walk 5km in Nelson – 1st Mei May 2022! \nPADA’s virtual fundraising event\, in partnership with She Moves Fitness Collective\, is designed to highlight the link between mental wellbeing and exercise. Registrations are $20 and all proceeds go to PADA to enable us to support the wellbeing of families and whānau throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. \nA Nelson walking event is being organised by Perinatal Mental Health Awareness Champions; Hana Carpenter and Ruth Brodbeck\, to fundraise for PADA and to raise awareness of antenatal and postnatal anxiety and depression. \nWhen? Sunday 1st May\, 9:30am \nWhere? The skatepark (Rutherford Park) by Trafalgar Center\, we will walk along the Maitai to the Botanical Reserve and back\, approximately 5km. \nThe walk is suitable for prams so bring your family and tell your friends to come along\, whoever your support network may be. \nEvery registration will receive a free One Month Membership* with She Moves\, and by posting your pictures and tagging She Moves and PADA on Facebook or Instagram\, you’ll go into the draw to win One Year’s Free Membership! *(One Month Membership not available for current She Moves members\, everyone has a chance to win One Year’s Free Membership!)

As each session holds 15 participants\, the small number will allow for engaging conversations and enable you to interact with the others in the group. \nJasmine has created a workshop to enable providers to have brave and courageous conversations about culturally competent care. She is a New Zealand born and raised Samoan\, Māori and European Teine/Wāhine who has grown up in the vibrant and multi-cultural South Auckland. This upbringing of rich culture sparked her passion to work alongside\, understand\, and support Pasifika brothers and sisters navigate the many obstacles they face adjusting to life in Aotearoa New Zealand. \nDownload the programme flyer here \nSpaces are limited to 15 per session.
