DESCRIPTION:Parenting & Place: How Place\, Walking and Everyday Mobility Shape Parental Wellbeing \nEnvironments matter to health and wellbeing in early parenthood; streets\, parks\, neighbourhoods\, services and everyday journeys all intersect with a parent’s ability to feel well. \nPlease join us as Dr Eva Neely (Senior Lecturer) and Dr Vicki Hargraves (Teaching Fellow) share findings from their parent-centred urbanism research\, showing how new parents experience and navigate everyday environments and what makes places feel supportive\, accessible and conducive to connection. \nThey will reflect on what a parent-centred approach to urban environments might mean for practitioners\, services\, planners and communities seeking to support parents and whānau.
